Cleveland & Co is pleased to have advised Guinness Global Investors on its acquisition of Foresight Capital Management, the public markets investment business of Foresight Group.
The transaction includes the transfer of approximately £1 billion of assets under management, representing around 7% of Foresight Group’s AUM, and marks an important development within the investment management sector. Completion remains subject to regulatory approvals.
The acquisition supports Guinness Global Investors’ long-term growth strategy and further expands its public markets platform. As an independent, employee-owned investment manager, Guinness has built a strong reputation for its disciplined, long-term investment approach and high-conviction strategies. The transaction enhances the firm’s ability to deliver a broader range of investment solutions to clients while strengthening its presence in sustainable and real asset investing.
Cleveland & Co advised Guinness across all aspects of the transaction, providing strategic legal and regulatory support from the initial stages through to exchange. The firm’s work included due diligence, transaction structuring, negotiation of acquisition documentation, financial services regulatory advice and support on ancillary transaction matters.
