Rebecca Solomon

Rebecca Solomon is a Legal Counsel at Cleveland & Co, advising clients across a broad range of investment management, commercial, corporate, and data protection matters. Since joining the firm in early 2022, Rebecca has established herself as a trusted legal adviser to asset managers, financial institutions, and fintech firms operating across the UK and internationally.

With a strong foundation in commercial contracts, fund-related regulation (including UCITS), corporate governance, and pre-marketing compliance, Rebecca provides practical, commercially informed legal support across the full investment and business lifecycle. She routinely advises clients on company secretarial obligations, cross-border regulatory challenges, and corporate structuring, always with a focus on clarity, execution, and risk-managed growth. Rebecca also plays a key role in the firm’s data protection advisory work, guiding clients through privacy policies, DPIAs, and the implementation of the UK SCCs and GDPR documentation frameworks.

Rebecca qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 2024 and has six years of professional experience. Before joining Cleveland & Co, she worked in the Banking & Finance Legal team at PwC, where she was involved in large-scale intragroup reorganisations, due diligence exercises on both the buy- and sell-side, and the negotiation of exempt loan arrangements. This background sharpened her analytical skills, transactional awareness, and ability to adapt rapidly to shifting priorities, qualities that continue to benefit her clients today.

Rebecca’s work is grounded in the firm’s core values: she brings resilience, organisation, and collaboration to every client matter. Clients appreciate her clear communication style and ability to simplify technical legal language into actionable advice. She is especially valued for her proactive mindset and ability to anticipate issues in evolving regulatory environments, making her a reliable partner for clients navigating change.

Her growing portfolio of experience includes UCITS structuring, fund registration and UK supplements, financial promotions, NDAs, security and loan agreements, engagement letters, HR policy frameworks, and board/shareholder resolutions, custody and commercial contracts. Rebecca is also involved in internal knowledge development and client training initiatives, reflecting her commitment to building capability and confidence across every stakeholder group.

Outside of work, Rebecca values time with family and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. She enjoys travelling to new places and experimenting with recipes in the kitchen.
