Tanja brings with her a huge wealth of global experience in the Investment Management industry in Australia, Asia, UK and Europe, from roles at Maven Securities, Morgan Stanley, Herbert Smith Freehils and BT. She will be a keystone of the firm’s future growth plans over 2023 and beyond, and will take on the relationship management of our existing clients as well as wider practice management responsibilities. Tanja’s joining marks an exciting step change in our growth story in Australia and reflects Cleveland & Co’s growth ambition within the market in APAC.
Tanja takes over from Andrew Goldstein who joined Cleveland & Co in the early stages of the setup of the Australian business and has been a key figure in supporting its initial growth. As the business continues to grow and our client base continues to expand, the need to balance wider practice management with client-facing delivery is ever more important. Andrew’s passion is engaging with clients and working to solve their legal challenges, and that is where he wishes to focus going forward. To that end, Andrew will be moving back into an in-house role where he can dedicate himself to working on legal issues, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
CEO, Emma Cleveland says:
“I am delighted to welcome Tanja to the Cleveland & Co team. Tanja’s appointment comes at a key stage of Cleveland & Co’s journey in the Asia Pacific region as we transition from market entry to growth and expansion. Tanja is an engaging and focussed leader, with a passion for client service, and I know our clients will benefit hugely from her wealth of experience in the sector and her capability building successful, long term, and mutually beneficial relationships. As the firm starts an exciting and new chapter, I would like to thank Andrew for his contribution to the firm and I am looking forward to working with Tanja who is ideally placed to lead the continued growth of our Asia Pacific business.”
Tanja Listar says:
“I am delighted to be appointed the head of Cleveland & Co’s Asia Pacific operations and am very much looking forward to helping to expand the firm’s reach across the region. Cleveland & Co’s business model is hugely attractive, providing clients with expertise, responsiveness, and cost certainty. I am confident that the firm’s footprint in the region’s Financial Services sector will continue to grow as a result of these attributes. I am excited to continue to build on the foundations that have been built in Sydney, and look forward to developing new and fostering existing client relationships, driving growth and profitability for the firm.”
