As part of our ‘Meet the Team’ series, we are delighted to feature Argyro Leoutsea, from our Legal team who celebrates her first anniversary with Cleveland & Co this week! To celebrate Argyro’s first year, we sat down to ask her a few questions about her experiences at Cleveland & Co and what she enjoys about her job.

Tell us about your career path.
I came back to Athens and trained in the legal department of a bank immediately after I finished my post graduate studies in London. I then joined a Greek top tier capital markets law firm where I stayed for nearly 20 years and became a partner. After I moved to London following my husband in a big career move of his, I helped a UAE fintech start up to develop from its infant stage to a well-established regulated investment firm and then came across the fantastic Cleveland & Co team!
What do you love most about your job?
The challenges that you come up with on a daily basis and the ability to help your clients develop their business by providing legal advice tailored to their needs.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Never be arrogant when it comes to your work, knowledge or experience! Always question yourself.
If you didn’t go into law, what other role might you have done?
Probably working for a big international institution/organisation such as the European Commission or become a diplomat.
Favourite spot in London/Sydney and why? Favourite spot in London is the historic Hammersmith Bridge and its dramatic surroundings.
Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you.
I really enjoy watching football, be it my boys playing in the local Sunday leagues, Premier League matches or live at the stadium!
